Empowerment

SANZAF’s Women Empowerment Programme focuses on uplifting women through skills training, economic support and personal development. Rooted in an Islamic ethos that values compassion, dignity and justice, SANZAF cultivates an environment where women are empowered to thrive spiritually, socially and economically. By instilling confidence and resilience, the programme enables women to become active agents of change in their families and communities.

A Women's Month Celebration of Care and Community

As part of its Women's Month outreach, SANZAF hosted 50 senior citizens from communities including Manenberg, Gugulethu, Bonteheuwel, Hanover Park, Lavender Hill and the Northern Suburbs for a special day of care and connection in Paarl.

Our esteemed guests were treated to a day of pampering by the dedicated SANZAF team and the incredible I Deserve It pamper team. From thoughtful gifts to a specially prepared meal, every detail was designed to make them feel cherished and appreciated.

This event not only brought joy to our guests but reaffirmed commitment to building a more inclusive, compassionate and respectful society, one that values the dignity of every individual.

Celebrating the Power and Impact of Women

SANZAF was honoured to host a meaningful gathering with 100 remarkable women, including the esteemed Dr. Shaheda Omar from The Teddy Bear Clinic. The day was a celebration of strength, resilience and the vital role women play in uplifting their communities.

A special highlight of the event was the recognition of our ongoing knitting and crocheting initiative, a testament to compassion in action. We paid tribute to the inspiring Aunty Hazel, who, at 90 years old, continues to handcraft beanies with love and dedication for children in need, a true example of lifelong service and generosity. Through heartfelt connections and shared purpose, the event reaffirmed the importance of empowering women to lead, nurture and transform society.

SANZAF’s Ladies Wellness Day

The day was filled with warm conversations, pampering treatments and delightful treats, all designed to offer these extraordinary women a well-deserved moment of relaxation and joy.
